Magical Christmas at Villa Reale in Marlia, where young and old can immerse themselves in the warm and cozy Christmas atmosphere by visiting the Villa's park and museums on December 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 and 22, 2024.

In the cool December air, the scent of mulled wine and wood burning in Nordic braziers warms the atmosphere and the gardens are the stars with their sparkling light installations.

Lots of fun and excitement for the little ones: in the stables of the Palazzina dell'Orologio themed creative workshops and the eagerly awaited meeting with Santa Claus and his elves, to take souvenir photos and write a letter together with their wishes amidst the lights, gift wrapping and Christmas decorations. Also in the stables, more than 30 wooden games, built with recycled wood or carpentry scraps, ideal for stimulating concentration, strategic skills, ability and cooperation, bringing together players of all ages.

Novelty 2024: Villa Reale hosts some of the handcrafted Nativity Scenes by Fontanini Presepi, a company founded in 1908 in Bagni di Lucca and internationally renowned for the creation of highly crafted Nativity Scenes and religious articles: works of art created with meticulous care, using precious materials and refined details.

Four Nativity Scenes of different sizes will be on display: with statues of about 18 cm, a unique example by the carpenter Olinto di Vita, made in the middle of the last century on commission of Countess Mimì Pecci Blunt, in the room of miniatures; with statues of 45 cm, in the fireplace of the former kitchens in the blue room of the Palazzina dell'Orologio; with large statues, around 125 cm, in the Chapel of St Francis Xavier; with life-size statues, 180 cm, in front of the Villa.
