Events

A multidisciplinary event where we talk about ecosystems, climate, new economic models, energy, agriculture, food, urban development, but also about new political, social, philosophical, anthropological and artistic visions.

The appointment with the festival, directed by Stefano Mancuso, conceived and organised by Editori Laterza and promoted by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca, is from Thursday 8 to Sunday 11 October 2026, in the most evocative places of the city: the Church of San Francesco, Palazzo Ducale, the Botanical Garden, the Auditorium del Suffragio, the Agorà library.

Over 90 events in four days to spend together with scientists, philosophers, psychoanalysts, economists, geopolitical experts, writers, journalists and artists to investigate the fragility of our times (unstable systems is the theme of the fourth edition): global warming, extreme weather events, landscape transformation, energy issues, political, geopolitical, economic and even existential instability.

Admission to the Pianeta Terra Festival events is free until all seats are taken.
