The Photolux cultural association presents an exhibition of the winning photographs from the World Press Photo 2025 contest in Lucca. The most significant current affairs stories through the photographs of the 68th annual World Press Photo Contest, the best in photojournalism and documentary photography. The winners were chosen by an independent jury of 31 professionals from around the world, who reviewed over 59,000 photographs submitted by more than 3,700 photographers from 141 countries.
On display at Villa Bottini from 22 November to 14 December 2025, these powerful images touch on major current issues, from wars and their impact on civilians to the global climate crisis, and reaffirm the important role of photography as a tool for information and awareness.
The exhibition can be visited Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
