Lucca centro storico e ciclopedonale Puccini
A rich program of initiatives on the occasion of the handover of the Oscar del Cicloturismo (Cycle Tourism Oscar), the annual award given to green cycleways that promote sustainable tourism on two wheels. Lucca and Tuscany won this award in 2023 with the Giacomo Puccini cycle-pedestrian route, a 51-kilometer route that links Lucca and Versilia to Viareggio and Lake Massacciucoli to retrace the places of the great world-famous composer from Lucca.
The Ciclopedonale Puccini is a cycle path with music because dedicated signage provides access, via QR code, to musical accompaniment during the ride and to listen to suggested symphonies at selected points from Lucca arriving at the Lipu Oasis nature reserve and Villa Puccini where the composer spent many years of his life.
From May 30 to June 1, the city will be a protagonist on the theme of cycle tourism and the most beautiful greenways for bicycle lovers meetings reserved for industry professionals and bike forums and events open to the public.
Saturday 1 June at 9 p.m. award ceremony and entertainment event open to the public with journalist and writer Marino Bartoletti with the show Zazzarazzaz, pedalando e cantando nella storia at the Auditorium del Suffragio - 'Luigi Boccherini' Music Conservatory.
The show is a tribute to cycling and music, in words, images, memories, songs, laughter and tears. One of the most popular sports journalists, author and presenter of sports programmes and writer, as well as music and Sanremo Festival expert, Bartoletti is joined by the Duo iDeA, known to the general public for their appearances on Zelig.
