Lucca in Maschera: an incredible Carnival!

Fun and engaging events and initiatives that, in collaboration with Viareggio's Carnival, will bring the spirit of celebration and lightness to Lucca.

From 8 February, the great masks of the Viareggio Carnival arrive in the squares of Lucca; the gorilla, the skull parade and the shamans.

15 and 22 February at 2.30 p.m. and Saturday 1 March at 4 p.m. Carnival Party for children in Piazza San Michele with ...fire-eaters, stilt-walkers, streamers and animation.

on 16 February at 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.- Laser Light Show at piazzale Vittorio Emanuele, a great show with music and special effects that immerses the public inside the luminous representations.

on 22 February, from 19:00 Allegra Baccanata with the town's activities and venues, which will liven up the evening with masks and entertainment
from 21:00 in Piazza Anfiteatro, the traditional concert with a big name of 80s pop music: Ivana Spagna!

Sunday 23 February, starting at 15:00 there will be a parade of masks on the Walls of Lucca, while in piazzale Vittorio Emanuele II a maxi screen will show images of the Viareggio Carnival floats of the 2025 edition.

Sunday 2 March, from 3 p.m. to evening, the CarnevalFratta returns to Piazza San Francesco, the famous ‘masked’ event that has animated the ‘Bastardo’ district, the ‘Fratta’ area and the ‘Borghi di Levante’ area since the end of the 1970s and soon became the Carnival of Lucca,
