A special year for the Feast of Santa Croce in Lucca with the return of the Holy Face after the long and important restoration.

13 September
10:30 a.m. - Cathedral of San Martino - Prayer and blessing by His Excellency Monsignor Paolo Giulietti, Archbishop of Lucca.
8:00 p.m. - Basilica of San Frediano: LUMINARA DELLA SANTA CROCE - departure of the night-time procession for the traditional procession through the city in memory of the transfer of the Holy Face from the Basilica of San Frediano to the Cathedral of San Martino. 
At the end - Cathedral of San Martino, performance of the MOTTETTONE upon the arrival of the faithful.
11:30 p.m. - FIREWORKS DISPLAY of Santa Croce (the display can be seen from the walls, north side)

14 september

10:00 a.m. - St. Martin's Cathedral - EXALTATION OF THE CROSS
