The Lucca Film Festival 2022 presents Marcello Scarselli's solo exhibit dedicated to the Taviani Brothers, one of the most significant authors of contemporary cinema.

The exhibition, curated by Riccardo Ferrucci, is included in the exhibition section of the Festival, coordinated by Alessandro Romanini, and, for the occasion, Paolo Taviani returns as a guest to Lucca.

Through thirty paintings, Scarselli recreates on canvas the magic and poetry of the Taviani's most famous films, masterpieces that have revolutionized Italian and international cinema. In Scarselli's works, the themes and mysteries dear to the two brothers emerge, the remote and isolated places linked to the deepest roots of existence, to rediscover harmony and forgotten feelings. On show figurative and abstract paintings, which return the pathos and emotions of a cinema type that questions landscape and men. The jar, the moon, the church, the wheat fields become the stations of a journey through memories and dreams of the cinematographic works of Paolo and Vittorio Taviani.

The exhibition can be visited daily with hours of 10:00 a.m. / 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. / 6:00 p.m.
