At Palazzo Guinigi, from 3 April to 29 June 2025, the story of the extraordinary human and professional journey of Queen and their charismatic leader, through the photographs of Freddie Mercury's road manager and personal assistant - Peter Hince - and a rich selection of memorabilia.
Hince's association with Queen began in 1975, during the early stages of the recording of A Night at the Opera. Of those early years there are unfortunately no photographs, which Peter instead began to take from 1977, when the band reached the peak of their worldwide success, until 1986.
Hince's shots include some of the most iconic images of Freddie Mercury, captured in the recording studio and on the sets of photographs or music videos. Photographs that offer us a unique and privileged glimpse of the band and its leader; images exhibited for the first time in Europe, some as international premieres.
The exhibition is enriched by more than a hundred various objects and documents, all original: records, posters, musical instruments, clothing and accessories, documents, rarities and memorabilia belonging to the band members, from Mercury's microphone stand to the costumes for the Radio Gaga video. The tour ends in a video room where rare clips from the band's international concerts are shown.
The exhibition can be visited daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
