After the December exhibition in the church of Santa Caterina, Memento - War Memorials of Lucca returns from 22 May to 3 June at the N. Machiavelli classical high school, on the occasion of the restoration of the monumental plaque dedicated to the high school students who fell in World War I.

The exhibition on the war memorials of the area, realized in collaboration with the City of Lucca, Italia Nostra and Progetto Memento, is enriched with a further five panels dedicated to the recently restored high school tombstone and to the students who died in the Great War.

The research work carried out by the classical high school in its archives highlights the memory and experiences of those young people who left for the front and never returned. The panels dedicated to the high school contain notes regarding the monument and documents relating to the six fallen students.

The exhibition is open every day from 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm.
