L'eleganza del tratto. Disegni di Bernardino e Pietro Nocchi, an exhibition curated by Luisa Berretti.
From December 17, 2023 to April 14, 2024 in the rooms dedicated to the nineteenth century of the National Museum of Palazzo Mansi.
A selection of fifty-six drawings by Bernardino Nocchi (Lucca, 1741-1812) and his son Pietro (Rome, 1783 - Lucca, 1854), painters well-known in the panorama of neoclassical painting in Lucca and Rome.
Among the drawings in the exhibition are Bernardino's studies for works painted for Lucchese commissions; three preparatory studies for the figures that make up the scene of the Baptism of Adaloaldo (Lateran Museum of Rome); the four preparatory studies for the Portrait of the Orsucci Family; and, in the Hall of Princes, the Study of the Head of Elisa Baciocchi and three other studies for female portraits.

The drawings are part of the donation of painter and sculptor Carlo Dal Poggetto (Lucca, 1828 -1915) to the city's Pinacoteca Comunale. 

The exhibition can be visited with the museum's admission ticket.

- Tuesdays, Thursdays, 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month 9 a.m. / 7:30 p.m. (last admission 6 p.m.);
- Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 12 p.m. / 7:30 p.m. (last admission 6 p.m.).
