On May 8th the most important cycling race in Italy arrives into the city, the arrival of the fifth stage from Genoa to Lucca.

Among evocative landscapes, art and history, the route of Lucca's stage of the event, organized by RCS Sport, involves passing through the cobbled streets of Borgo Giannotti and through Via Passaglia and Via Civitali arriving in Piazzale Martiri della Libertà with the evocative and historical Walls, symbol of the city, in the background.

Route: monte san Quirico-ponte fiume Serchio, via Borgo Giannotti, via Passaglia, via Civitali, via Batoni, rotonda Maria Eletta Martini, via Carlo del Prete, via Papi, viale Carducci. 

The Genoa-Lucca stage of 176 km is considered one for fast wheels. Following Aurelia and through Val Freddana and Montemagno along Via di Camaiore, we arrive in the town of Giacomo Puccini.

A rich program of events for a day of celebration with the involvement of schools and local sports associations.
