Tenuta Dello Scompiglio. Via di Vorno, 67 loc. Vorno - Capannori
Afternoon is Francesca Banchelli's environmental installation project, curated by Angel Moya Garcia, from 22 April to 16 July in the spaces of the Tenuta Dello Scompiglio in Capannori.
A work that draws inspiration from the theory of the event elaborated by the French philosopher Alain Badiou, attempting to distinguish from theoretical thought through an imaginative vision that observes and reflects on the rarefaction of the place where the event can occur.
Francesca Banchelli's work focuses mainly on the languages of painting and performance, which are often articulated in multifaceted installations that recreate imaginaries and dreamlike visions of coexistence between living beings, natural objects and inanimate objects.
Banchelli uses time as the key to balance the encounter between the individual and the world, a reconciliation between people, the community, nature and events on earth.
Afternoon is an alienating landscape, an abstract territory, where a thought, an era, a moment ends and starts again. Inside the exhibition a series of silent corridors, ephemeral and fragile architectures, interrupted environments or actions that activate the installation, reveal a situation in which the complexity and lightness of the evolution of human presence on Earth coexist.
A work in which the visitors can walk, observe, confront the sound of their own steps to enter a suspended world in which anything can happen, in which he is involved to provoke, live or cause the event.
The exhibition is accompanied by a program of performances on the days:
